Movie Review: Star Wars: A New Hope

Starting off Basswiz movie reviews, I’m going to get going with my favorites. Admittedly I am partial to Sci Fi Fantasy but I’m pretty objective, and seriously no matter what genre you like, a crappy move is a crappy movie. So to kick it off.. The Star Wars trilogy x 2.

Star Wars IV A New Hope: 1977, I was 9 the movie blew me away. Story line and character development didn’t mean much to me then. Special effects were state of the art no one had seen anything like it before, and the world had a new hero Luke Sky walker, and villain, Darth Vader. Critics gave mixed reviews on opening, no one knew it was going to blow up like it did, and most critics changed their reviews in the later years. Now in 2012 and all grown up, I can still watch Star Wars, although it has lost some luster and wonder, its an ok movie, very inventive and imaginative, not too much to think about, just sit back and enjoy the ride. Dialogue is ok character development is a tad shallow. Over all a really good adventure movie that set the bar for movies and technology to come.
